To be clear we are not “gregarious motivators”, we apply our technologies and coaching systems in a very practical “one on one” environment, resulting in the recognition and removal of often, major and sometimes very subtle impediments to success, both personally and professionally.
Clearly, all flourishing companies have a handle on their business systems, marketing and sales areas. Akasa Coaching’s technological approach compliments and even enhances those existing skills, by identifying and where necessary, addressing the more subtle influences which flow from yourself and other key people within your organisation. These influences (both gainful and restraining) always impact on the success of the company. If one is “out”, just a couple of degrees in their bearings, at the beginning of a nautical journey, you can imagine how this will translate into being hundreds of kilometres wide of your destination if allowed to continue for any length of time, unadjusted.
Inappropriate tolerance of under-performance or a complacency about movement toward your (your company’s) stated goals, is common within many organisations and it impedes the will to adjust.
The longer “the course” remains unaltered, the greater the discrepancy from the goal, over time.


THE PROFILING TECHNOLOGY
The graphs, charts and percentages created by our initial Profiling and Systems can be likened to the electro-cardiograph, VO2 max machine (oxygen uptake measure), inclining exercise tread mill and stopwatches a sports Coach might use to assess an athlete, prior to setting up a goal specific training regime.
There are few, if any mistakes made in this system and no time is wasted with the unnecessary, when designing a coaching/ training/ mentoring program, based on good information and experienced observation of form and technical style. Our methods provide a rare insight into and often times, a confronting awareness of self. This really is a challenge for most, as they push through to new levels of achievement and winning.
Most successful people are probably aware of their strengths.
It’s these very strengths utilised to their fullest that have helped them get to where they are now.
However, and this can be a serious oversight, most people are truly unaware of their “blind-spots” or “impeding attitudes” as we like to call them. At the head of a company these can have the effect of slowing the impetus of the business. At lower levels they may manifest as subtle negative, internal politics that create frustrating plateaus in the growth of a company, due in the main, to an unproductive, selfish focus, by some team members or even leading to measurable losses of market share.

ASKING MORE QUESTIONS & HIGH QUALITY QUESTIONS, IS A KEY!
Coaching is often a very interesting, essentially “technical” discussion, conducted within a productive, results-oriented, goal focused environment. It’s about asking challenging questions that help you, (the client) better access the “what” you know, to get you to the “what” you want, much sooner. And, it’s also about identifying any gaps in your “need to knows”, in order to achieve the things you want to achieve. Coaching is often about asking the right questions, rather than, providing the answers. Questions that are often confronting, that can challenge stated values, head on. This applies both personally and professionally.
It’s important to note that principally we don’t give advice. We don’t tell you how to run your business. You (the client) are always going to be the expert in your business. However, …and this is why there’s a real need for a coach, our experience demonstrates to us daily, that even though most clients are expert, they don’t follow their expertise. They ignore themselves and that expertise, …often at crucially in-appropriate times.
Our clients quickly come to realise how much they haven’t been doing and how much they really can do. We coach our clients on, “how to think”, not so much on the, “what to think”. Like most people you’ve probably been taught a lot about “what” to think over the years and not that much about “how” to think about all those “whats”. Our job is to challenge you, to dig deep and find an answer that makes sense to you, …and to help you to scrutinise sceptically and inspect whatever answers you generate for relevance and resourcefulness. The results from this process are routinely, amazing.

THE STRATEGY MEETING
Before a coaching program can be implemented’, the “Strategy” is a detailed structured discussion about the predicted performance of the client (or even a position applicant in a recruitment setting), as revealed by our unique Profiling Survey. We actually measure a person’s ability to succeed within a particular context, that is their ability deliver their desired outcomes, in given circumstances, thereby providing incomparable insight.
